Let’s work together!
Izabella Miller (she/her), Graduate Intern
Welcome! I want to invite you to the journey of Self-discovery and healing! My name is Izabella Miller.
I'm currently pursuing my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Midwestern State University (MSU), and I'm completing my internship at Vibrant Journey Counseling under the supervision of Sara Merlene-Kluth, MA, LPC, NCC, EMDR-T (site supervisor), and Dr. Rosalyn Dunn, Ph.D., LPC-S (university supervisor).
The way I work is warm, collaborative, and centered on you. No one knows your life better than you do, and I don't believe people are meant to fit into tidy categories or one-size-fits-all plans. What I offer is steady, nonjudgmental presence - someone to sit beside you in the difficult moments and help you make sense of them at a pace that feels right.
My path to this work grew out of my own life. Growing up in a family shaped by addiction and loss, including losing my father early, I came to understand young how deeply our earliest relationships mark us, and how long that weight can linger. Those experiences gave me a profound respect for the courage it takes to heal, and they continue to shape how I show up in the therapy room: grounded, compassionate, and unafraid of the hard places.
I'm especially drawn to supporting people through anxiety, grief, life transitions, relationship struggles, and the lasting weight of trauma. Much of my work draws on EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) - approaches that help us move past what keeps us stuck and reconnect with the calm, grounded core within you. In IFS we call this your Self, and as you access more of it, you begin to meet life from a place of curiosity, calm, confidence, compassion, creativity, clarity, courage, and connectedness. My hope is to help you find your way back to that Self, so it can lead.
I see adults, couples, and children ages 8 and up across Texas, Florida, and Colorado. Outside of practice, I'm a mom to four boys ranging from 3 to 24, and two dogs and two bunnies. I also love walking and reading sci-fi books. Family, connection, and meaning are at the heart of everything I do.
I know from my own time in therapy how much it can take just to reach out and trust - that first step is often the hardest one. Whatever brought you here, my hope is that you'll find a space where you can feel understood and be fully yourself, with nothing to edit or explain away. Whenever you're ready, I'd be glad to walk with you.
Sessions with Izabella are $30.
